BEYOND TEA PARTIES, ELECTIONS AND PARTIES 

is the Constitution of the United States of America, waiting for our Attention, Defense and Protection

On April 19, 2010, the Voice of Freedom was heard from Hawaii to Maine as Constitutionalists gathered in (nearly) every Capital City to simultaneously sing the praises of America and Her Constitution, and to serve the Articles of Freedom on Her federal and state officials. 

The Articles of Freedom, include a series of Remedial Instructions for both the Federal and State governments – instructions designed to restore constitutional governance in America, together with a Nationwide Civic Action and Pledge signifying the belief that:   a) for decades and over many administrations, both political parties have been violating the Constitution and the states have acquiesced;  b) the Articles of Freedom should be served on key elected officials in the federal government and all 50 state governments;  c) the federal and state officials should comply with the Remedial Instructions designed to put an end to the violations and restore constitutional governance; and  d) if the government officials refuse to comply, the People shall engage in a nationwide, well-organized, pro-active, non-violent series of civic actions, including economic sanctions if ultimately necessary, to peaceably procure the relief they are entitled to under our system of governance. 

In addition to all that took place across America on April 19th, we are now planning a Dedication Ceremony in Washington D.C. and to serve the Articles of Freedom there to federal officials, to make sure the deed is done across the board. This will include the President, the U.S. House of Representatives (so they have copies in all places), the Courts and others.

The activities will continue in the States continue as the Articles are served on others in both federal and state positions.  We begin the task of encouraging and monitoring response.  We need to show them we are serious about the Constitution returning in its fullness to guide the governing forces in America.  

We remind that DEFENSE OF THE CONSTITUTION IS SERVICE TO THE CREATOR. WE RALLY PEOPLE IN DEFENSE OF OUR CREATOR ENDOWED RIGHTS, RATHER THAN THE PROMISES AND ASSURANCES OF MEN. THE CONSTITUTION CANNOT DEFEND ITSELF. 

There is a place for any American who feels to get involved with this process.  Join others like yourself who are tired of politics, personalities and elections. ALABAMA RISING FOR THE CONSTITUTION

Patriots in Alabama will serve the Articles of Freedom on elected officials on April 19th with Gratitude and Hope that all will, through this document, join together and determine to turn back to the Supreme Law of our Land before we find ourselves in situations from which we cannot be extricated.

There will be a Freedom Rally and National Dedication Ceremony for the “Articles of Freedom” at the Arizona State Capitol On Patriot’s Day, Monday April 19^th, to be held on the Senate Lawn.  This event will be held in conjunction with the Second Amendment March ‘Armed Lunch at the Capitol’ (bring a sack lunch!)   

Master of Ceremonies will be Arizona Coordinator for We the People for Constitutional Education Foundation and Voting Delegate at the recent Continental Congress 2009, Ed Vallejo.

     Those planning on attending the Ceremony and then delivering the Articles to their elected officials afterward will begin gathering on the Senate Lawn at noon, and, depending on circumstances, the Ceremony will begin sometime after that.   We have been told that the Capitol will be providing the podium and microphone, but we do not have information as to exactly when it will be set up for us.  Bring water or fluids for the afternoon as we expect the temperature to reach 90 degrees on that day.

     Arizona has been one of the States that has stressed individual participation in the serving of The Articles of Freedom to elected Officials, and no record of who is serving who has been kept.   If you want your elected official served, show up with the information of where that person will be and we will provide copies for you to serve them.  At the end of the Ceremony we will know who is there to serve whom, and those serving the same people can go together.  Some officials may be served either at the Capitol, their individual offices, or in Washington D.C.  It is up to you, the individual , to stand up for your Constitution and hold these people accountable, or they will just continue on the wreckless and dangerous course they have set us upon, for their own designs.  We The People will have representatives in Washington D.C. to serve those Elected Officials that are scheduled to be there to vote, but YOU are the ‘front line’ here at home, and are responsible to do the legwork – OR IT WON’T GET DONE!

 WHAT HAPPENED ON APRIL 19TH:
Arizona State Capitol Hosts Historic Event

In conjunction with the Second Amendment March, there was a “Freedom Rally” held on the Senate lawn of the Arizona State Capitol this past Patriot’s Day, where a number of Arizonans listened to speeches by Second Amendment supporters and ate from  ‘sack lunches’ – all while bearing arms. 

This was followed by an “Articles Of Freedom National Dedication Ceremony” for which I served as Master of Ceremonies for the remainder of the afternoon (armed as well).   The We the People Foundation for Constitutional Education had presented the States with an austere program for us to use, and I based the Arizona Program on their outline.

I began by introducing myself to the audience along with fellow Delegate Sylvia Boutillier, and proceeded into the Dedication To The Founding Fathers.  When I was finished, I gave the signal to Brandon Smith, Son of Maricopa County Coordinator Sterling Smith, to bring in The Colors (armed).  I explained to the crowd that we were fortunate to have the Second American Revolution Flag that I brought back from the Continental Congress to use for the days’ Ceremony.  I was moved, personally.  I then asked his father, Sterling, to read The Patriot’s Prayer.

When the Prayer was finished, I asked the audience how many times they had been to an event where when it came time for the National Anthem that quite often there would be loud music on speaker systems and few people actually singing?  I told them today would be different.  Today, we would fill the air with our own voices, and proceeded to sing the Star Spangled Banner – a cappella! 

I did not sing alone.  I admit that many were timid to begin with, but as we went on, people’s voices got stronger.  More people joined in.  It got louder, and by the time we were done, everyone was singing.  I had had the feeling that not using any recordings would personalize the Ceremony, but I was surprised at just how involved people had gotten, and it felt really good.

We followed the National Anthem with The Pledge of Allegiance and The American’s Creed (even though there was discussion about not using the Creed because of the offensiveness of the line “A DEMOCRACY IN A REPUBLIC”).  Please note: This reference, that is concerning to patriot's in our modern day and age, is simply a reference to the fact that we elect our officials, which is a "democracy.")

Bill Terhune of Lake Havasu City then read from the writings of George Washington, and then Lavvy Vernere of Phoenix read the Statement of Purpose.  I then led the audience in taking The Pledge.  It was at this point, I ‘deviated from the script’.  I had two main reasons for doing this.

Before I found out there was a suggested Program, I had sat down and wrote a speech, and wanted to use some of it if we had time (which we did).  I also knew ahead of time that we were combining with the ‘Gun Crowd’, which pleased me to no end being that not only was I known in the Phoenix area as an ‘open carrier’, I also served on the ’Firearms, Militia, and Second Amendment Committee’ at the Continental Congress, and helped craft some of the language in Article 4.  This was an opportunity too good to pass up.  I used some of the speech I wrote – which ended with me reading Article 4 in its entirety.  They liked it.

By the time they were done cheering me reading ‘abolish this’ and ‘repeal that’, I resumed with the list of Elected Officials to be served that day, and read the conclusion of the Program - followed by leading the cheers “GOD, SAVE OUR CONSTITUTION!”, “GOD, SAVE AMERICA”, and “LET FREEDOM RING” three times each.

After the Ceremony was over, I invited those who wanted to participate in the Service of the Articles to follow me back to our table, and took the flag from the stand and departed.  Once back at the table we had set up to distribute literature, we separated into several Teams in order to cover more ground.

By the end of the day, TEN people were officially served, and I had the good fortune to be the first to serve someone.  While I was distributing copies to the Teams, State Representative Carl Seel walked up to the crowd and started shaking hands.  I dropped what I was doing and grabbed a copy and a cover page and jumped up (startling those around me) and proceeded to serve Rep. Seel in front of everyone!  When I asked him for his signature, he laughingly asked “I don’t have to go to court now or anything, do I?” and I told him no, he was just signing that he received the information, and he gladly signed.  I turned to the Teams and said “It’s that easy!”   That seemed to ‘prime their pumps’, and they all sprang into action.

I stayed at the table to receive proof of deliveries while some teams went into the Capitol Building itself, and others departed for  Senators’ offices in other parts of town.  Once all the Servers at the Capitol had finished, we packed up what we hadn’t handed out, picked up all the signs and banners, and took the table and materials back to our Activist Center – The Freedom’s Phoenix Workshop.

Sometime later that evening, the last proof of delivery page was dropped off at my home.  The six Officials that We The People wanted specifically served – plus four more – had been served, and plans for more had been discussed.  Those not scheduled to be personally served will be done so by Certified Mail.  It was a good day in Arizona.

WHAT TOOK PLACE ON APRIL 19TH IN SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA: 

ARTICLES OF FREEDOM CEREMONY AND PRESENTATION RECAP - SOUTH STEPS OF THE STATE CAPITOL- SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA - APRIL 19^TH, 2010

Prior to the ceremony beginning, volunteers from all over the state, helped set up the sound system, keyboard, speakers, and passed out copies of the program as well as copies of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.  The Honor Guard from Beale Air Force Base arrived early and coordinated their presentation with the program by doing a couple practice runs, while the Master of Ceremonies, Joseph Andrews discussed the script with those who would share speaking. 

Prior to starting, the crowd was geared up with patriotic music played on the keyboard by Todd Tanis.  The ceremony began at precisely 12 noon with Todd Tanis playing the keyboard and Joseph Andrews providing the opening statements. Mike MacKenzie then provided a short dedication to our Veterans and our Military for their service. Joseph continued with the dedication to our Founding Fathers and then the signaled the Honor Guard to post colors.  The four of them came from the side and then stood abreast at attention in front the Capitol steps.  The outside Airmen had their rifles and two inside Airmen had the American and the California flags.  The California flag was dipped signaling the start of the Patriot’s Prayer by Jeff Oliver, our sound man.  This was followed by the singing of the 3 verses of the Star Spangled Banner led by Todd Tanis who did an excellent job leading the song.  We all then recited the Pledge of Allegiance and the American’s Creed led by Joseph Andrews. 

The Airmen still standing at attention with the flags now moved in perfect unison and posted the flags in their stands and returned to attention between those with the rifles. They stood for a long time with those big flags, and I had missed telling Joseph that the cue for their posting had been changed in the script.  But they remained still through it all. 
Next Tony Dolz read from the writings of George Washington who sounded a warning two hundred years ago what would happen to our Republic if it the citizens became negligent. 
At that point Coco O’Donnell from the Bay Area, came up and recited the Statement of Purpose for these Articles of Freedom. Then Tony Dolz returned to the steps to recite the Preamble of the Articles of Freedom. Joseph Andrews then took over to read the violations against the Constitution that have been committed by both parties over decades and stated that these Articles provide for remedial action at Federal, State and Civic levels. 

The entire crowd then took The Pledge as a record of the will of the people to be free. 
He then announced the Senators and Representatives names to be served with the Articles of Freedom that day in the following order: 

      Senator Diane Feinstein; Senator Barbara Boxer; Representative Doris Matsui;       Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger; Assemblyman John Perez – Speaker; Senator     Darrell Steinberg – President pro Tem 

None of them showed up to be served and neither did they send a representative.  So we served them in their offices after the conclusion of the Ceremony. The ceremony ended with Todd once more leading the crowd in singing “America” and then Joseph Andrews reciting a patriotic call to all so that from now on in America may “no destructive force dare enter from without nor be able to act any longer from within.” 
And finally all recited together in unison 3 times each of the following: 

GOD, SAVE OUR CONSTITUTION!

GOD, SAVE AMERICA!

LET FREEDOM RING! 

We then joined forces to walk together to the offices of those elected officials who did not show up to deliver the Articles of Freedom to them.  I mention here that they received a letter of invitation for this ceremony that was mailed to them on April 9^th via certified mail. 

Tony Dolz lead a group of people to the Federal Building to serve Barbara Boxer and Doris Matsui.  He will have to provide a recap of what went on over there. 

Dianne Feinstein was served in her San Francisco office by Dave Lubeck at the same time we were serving in Sacramento. 

Mike MacKenzie lead a group into the State Capitol to serve the Governor, John Perez, and Darrell Steinberg.  Our first stop was the Governor’s office.  The CHP Office there made us wait outside the doors while he went to find out what to do.  When he came out he said we would have to take serve our document in Room 1173.  We did put up resistance to being turned away and I stated that we should have been expected as the Governor or his representative had been invited to the ceremony to receive the Articles of Freedom, but to no avail.  We were still sent to Room 1173, which as it turns out is the Governor’s mail room.  Once again, we argued our point with the mailroom clerk which we knew would go nowhere.  So we gave him the document and noted on our Certificate of Service who received it for the Governor. 

At the office of John Perez, one of us was allowed access to the office.  I went in, and asked for Mr. Perez, whereupon I was told he was in session and that they were very busy.  I asked if they were aware of a letter of invitation he had received to be served the Articles at the ceremony.  They were unaware of it.  So I served the Secretary and noted it on the Certificate of Service. 

At the office of Darrell Steinberg, we all walked in to the office.  However, the secretary told us the he was at a funeral.  So we served her an noted that as well. 

Editorializing a bit here, I am going to assume that they did receive our invitations since they were sent by certified mail.  If they did, it would be quite obvious, though they hold office at the whims of the people, that they relegate us into irrelevance by ignoring our Constitutional rights of getting their attention by not even bothering to send a representative.  Their futures, and those of our children and grandchildren, will be determined by us, those who must uphold our responsibilities to our country and our Constitution in the 2010 elections.

WE will meet at Waller Park across from the FL State Supreme Court Building.   Floridians will come together in concert w/ other patriots in their perspective states AT THE SAME POINT IN TIME to have a day of celebration and serve the Articles of Freedom on our elected officials who are invited to attend our gala.

The Articles of Freedom  "draws the line in the sand " telling
the government it is time to return to the Constitution -- and obey the Law of our Land over the whims and assurances of man. 

We believe the government has usurped the Constitution far too long. We the People have dithered and been lax in our responsibilities. This is a non-partisan movement in order to restore the appropriate balance between the People and those we elect to serve us. The Constitution cannot defend itself.

This a historic event and we praise the CONTINENTAL CONGRESS 2009 participants: Bob Shultz and the WTP Foundation staff and the entire membership of the WTP Congress volunteers from across
the nation. Also we are grateful to all the elected CC2009 delegates who expended a lot of time, energy, brain power and shear audacity to make THE ARTICLES OF FREEDOM possible.

April 19th marks an historic moment when all current members of U.S. Congress representing Indiana, both the Senate and the House, the Governor, and members of the Indiana Senate and House, will be served with a copy of the Articles of Freedom.

We will meet on the steps of the state capitol come together for America, and then visit those we put into office.

Says Scott: “While we have plans for a one-on-one, face to face delivery of the Article of Freedom to as many members of the state and federal government as possible, it is critical that all are served on the same date nationally, so many will be served via certified mail to their local congressional offices. THE CONSTITUTION IS NOT A MENU FROM WHICH TO PICK AND CHOOSE: EVERY VIOLATION INJURES AMERICA-- EVERY VIOLATION PUTS THE WHIMS OF MAN OVER THE SUPREME LAW THAT THE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN GIVEN TO PROTECT LIFE LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.

Des Moines, IA - On Monday April 19th,  Continental Congress 2009 Delegates James Getman and Michael Angelos led the People of Iowa on the West Mall Area of the State Capitol building at 2pm in the dedication and service of the Articles of Freedom. An approximately 40 minute ceremony and formal readings and statement of purpose with music and singing ensued and was recorded as a record for Iowa and for America.

Approximately 40 Iowans were in attendance, not counting the state police officers. US Senator Grassely's represenative Fred Schuster stayed through the entire presentation, while Ted Tran Congressman Boswell's office left mid way. After the ceremony nearly all in attendance signed the transmittal letter cover sheet that was part of each ring bound copy of the Articles of Freedom for the six key elected scheduled to be served that day.  After hand delivering the ring bound copy to US Senator Grasley's representative, approximately a dozen Iowans carried on for approximately an additional two hours ensuring the following were also formally served: Iowa Governor Culver, Iowa House Speaker Murphy, Iowa Senate President Kibbie, US Senator Harkin, 3rd District US Congressman Boswell all received a ring bound copy of the Articles of Freedom via their staff or an adjacent office staff member. Each office was distributed at least 3 Summary copies of the Articles of Freedom as well and encouraged to get up to speed on the high points of the 14 violations. 

A volunteer came forward to deliver the Articles to personally to Congressman Braley (1st District) in Walterloo, IA the next day.  We did send via Registered Mail the ring bound copies to the offices of Congressman Loesbeck (2nd District) , Congressman Latham (4th District) and Congressman King (5th District).

Enough is Enough! 
The People have petitioned and exercised their 1st Amendment Right for a Redress of Grievances for decades.. and the servant government has violated that right they swore an oath to uphold by NOT responding.

Not responding to the people's demands for answers about unsound money, undeclared wars, unlawful searches and seizures, invasion of privacy, non-enforcement of immigration laws, and unapportioned taxing of our labor and private property.

Congress says, "Go to the courts," and the courts say, "Your injury is no different than everyone else's injury, take it up with Congress." And thus the servant government violates their oaths of office and keep the People in a perpetual pendulum of partisan politics... all the while devastating America for the ages. 

The People have had enough. They've assembled and reviewed the evidence and produced a series of remedial instructions to our federal and state legislators. This is beyond elections, beyond petitioning and beyond tea parties. It is time for the People to require our servant government to comply. If we do not enforce our rights, then we have no rights at all.

     We will be observing the "alternate" program as our Legislature session ended on April 12. We will peacefully and emblematically present the "ARTICLES OF FREEDOM" to our government and those representatives of our state. MASSACHUSETTS RISING FOR THE CONSTITUTION

Advice for Hand Delivering to Your Legislators - Best Practices from Michigan Delegation

Michigan has jumped the gun on April 19th, but in doing so, shows all of what is possible and likely.

Since April 8, dedicated delivery teams of patriots have been serving the Articles on elected officials and will culminate their efforts on Monday, April 19th.  More than 90 officials have been served in federal and state positions, including the courts.  May every state follow their lead.

The stories coming out of this experience are tremendous.   Servers and Receivers learning together about the governing process.  Gratitude expressed for citizens making the effort to provide solutions.  People waking up from years of complacency and taking responsibility for whom they have placed in office to represent their state and their country.

If you live in Michigan and want to do something on April 19th, serve the Articles on your federal representatives in your area.  Follow the three-step process posted at the top of this page under RESOURCES.

Until that happens do not expect a return to our Constitution through our 'electoral process'.  It can't and it won't.  Those, once elected, no matter how 'liberty oriented' they may be,  find themselves stymied once they are in office because the corrpution is inside out.  The political power, or people power, is vested in the each individual American.  Its all up to each of us now that the Continental Congress 2009 has adjourned and the 'Articles of Freedom' have manifested through their efforts.

The Delegation from Mississippi for Continental Congress has been hard at work over many months networking throughout the state.  Danny Bedwell, Scott Sanford and Bruce Olley, along with other supporters have served the Articles of Freedom to ALL State Senators and Representatives, as well as the Secretary of State.

The Governor, President of the Senate and Speaker of the House were invited to appear tomorrow on the steps of the state capitol. If they come or send representatives, we will document them receiving the Articles of Freedom. If not, we will go to their offices and deliver them. We will be mailing the Articles to the US Senators and emailing them to the New Hampshire House.

We'll be out in front of the Capitol at 11. There is a Second Amendment protest happening at the same time!  Because of this, there will be no ceremony other than the actual service. All are welcome!

The New Hampshire Delegation for Continental Congress had served one of the key New Hampshire officials, Rep. Dan Itse, which resulted in a four hour meeting to go through and discuss the document.  We are watching to see what will take place.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- It sounds like something out of the history books. Dozens of people coming to the Capitol to talk about how they can bring society to a more constitutional way of living.

A total of 116 citizens from 48 states met late last year in what they called a "Continental Congress 2009." They discussed how the Constitution should be more strictly interpreted and used in daily American life.

Groups in each state held ceremonies simultaneously across the country Monday, including on the steps of the New York State Capitol. Their hope? To give their 60-plus pages of recommendations they call the "Articles of Freedom" to state and national leaders.

"If we the people have some evidence that government is violating some provision of the constitution we could call them on it.," said Bob Schulz, We The People Foundation Chairman. "We can petition for a remedy to the grievance. They are obligated to respond. We may not get the relief we are looking for, but at least we get a response, that's not what's happening in America today. They don't respond. Now that's a recipe for violence."

The question is where does all this lead? Folks here say they want a peaceful return to constitutional principles, but they also acknowledge the change they seek won't come easy.

We have Delivered The Articles Of Freedom in Salem!

The Articles of Freedom -- Custom-Printed for Oregon's top eight elected officials...

We began our ceremony promptly at noon on the capitol steps facing Court Street. Because the Oregon legislature was not in session, we fanned-out after the ceremony and hand-delivered the Articles to the offices of each elected official. A couple of super-dedicated Oregon Patriots also served all seven Justices of the Oregon Supreme Court, the Oregon Attorney General, and the Mayor and City Council of Portland, OR!

Special thanks go out to all these great supporters of the AoF in Oregon:

South Carolina delegates from the Continental Congress urge all who want to help to serve the Articles on their representatives wherever they are in the state, to follow the three-step process noted above in the "Resource" section.

At this time, there is no ceremony planned because all energies have been directed to a day-long freedom event in Greenville on the 17th.

• 2:55 PM (approx) the ceremony concluded and approximately 30 citizens stepped forward with their video cameras and offered to deliver over 200 envelopes that included a copy of the Articles of Freedom downloaded to a CD, as well as a cover letter explaining the contents of the CD. These envelopes were either:

1.  Delivered to a legislator or their staff, and a signed receipt was obtained,
2. The envelopes were slid under the legislator's office door since the office was closed with no one to receive the envelope,
3. Or in the case of the Federal legislators that did not have an office in the Texas state capitol, these envelopes were postmarked April 19^th and mailed "return signature receipt" to each respective Washington, DC office.

WHAT HAPPENED ON APRIL 19TH:

The Articles of Freedom will be Served on Elected Officials by Federal Express to arrive on Monday, April 19th.  This effort has been organized by First Delegate - Virginia, Continental Congress 2009, Tom DeWeese - President of American Policy Center, who is unable to be in Virginia on this day.

Additionally, a group of patriots from around the state, plan to meet around the statue of Great Patriots in the capitol entry way on April 19th at 2:45pm to conduct a brief ceremony for the Constitution, after which they will go and serve the Articles.  Pick out an official you wish to serve, find out where their office is, bring along a copy of the Articles, attach and customize the transmittal cover letter, fill out theCertificate of Service and do it.

All you need to do this can found in the "Resource" Section above! The Patriots of Old will be smiling.

THE CONSTITUTION DOES NOT DEFEND ITSELF. IT IS UP TO THE PEOPLE TO DEFEND IT.
